Ariel & Dave were married on a stormy and sublime day in May at Mountain Creek Ski Resort.  These two hold a special place in our hearts with their balance of personalities – they are reserved, but super fun.  Ariel is beyond magical and sometimes has this mischievous look in her eyes at times. Dave is an encyclopedia of knowledge for both random and important facts.  Some of those facts being the names of characters in Zelda.  He helped us name one of our kittens.  We are forever grateful.  These two hold a special place in our hearts and we were so so pumped to document their day.

      A gondola ride to the top of the mountain over tree tops and dirt bike trails was the adventure that guests got to enjoy on the way to the ceremony site.
      During their ceremony the weather was dramatically changing in the valley from sun, to showers, to dark storm clouds, back to sun, and back to rain. It was sublime to see the clouds rolling over onto themselves revealing different weather every few minutes. At one point the sun was on the bride and groom but you can see a thick patch of rain falling on the valley below.

      As photographers – advice we always give people is “Please follow you heart.”
      When we knew the weather forecast for their wedding day, they were so disappointed that their ceremony would not be taking place on the top of the mountain. We simply told Ariel to please follow her heart or she may regret it. They decided together to have their ceremony at their dream spot and warned their guests to please be armed with umbrella’s. The weather made it all the more magical and they were elated that they had stayed true to their vision. {All vendors below}
